Taylor officially endorsed Harris/Walz in the U.S. presidential campaign. Taylor made the announcement in a post on her Instagram featuring a photo of her and Benjamin Button, one of her three cats, from her Time Magazine Person of the Year photoshoot. In the Instagram post caption, Taylor said that she plans to vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the upcoming U.S. presidential election and encouraged first-time voters to register to vote as well as vote early.

Taylor won 7 awards at the 2024 MTV VMA awards on Wednesday night, including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year (Fortnight), Best Pop, Best Collaboration (Fortnight with Post Malone), Song of the Summer, Best Direction, and Best Editing.

Taylor attended the U.S. Open Final on Sunday in NYC alongside Travis Kelce, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, the Haim sisters, and other friends. Many clips were shared of Taylor and Travis dancing to The Darkness’ ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ and Bad Bunny’s ‘Tití Me Preguntó’ at the match.

Taylor and Travis were also spotted grabbing dinner at Meduza Mediterrania in Manhattan on Sunday following their day at the U.S. Open. They were reportedly joined by several friends, including Patrick and Brittany Mahomes.

Taylor attended the wedding of model Karen Elison and the owner of Electric Lady Studios on Saturday in NYC at the studio. She was joined by Travis Kelce and wore a floral Zimmermann dress.

Taylor and Travis visited Lucali, a pizza place in Brooklyn, for dinner on Friday night, the day after the Chiefs won against the Baltimore Ravens in their NFL regular-season opener.

Taylor’s Instagram endorsement post for Harris/Walz has also been liked and reshared by most of her band and Eras Tour dancers.

In Taylor’s acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs for Video of the Year, she thanked her boyfriend Travis for his support during the production shoot for the Fortnight music video. She said, “Everything this man touches turns to happiness, fun and magic. I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot.”

Stevie Nicks referenced Taylor’s ‘Childless Cat Lady’ endorsement post in her own post, advocating for people to go out and vote in the presidential election.

Kamala Harris walked off the stage to ‘The Man’ at her post-debate speech to supporters.

Following Taylor’s endorsement of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, the campaign started selling official friendship bracelets on the campaign merch website. They sold out in less than 24 hours.

Megan Thee Stallion said in a recent interview that she would like to collaborate with Taylor. Meg said, “I love Taylor, she’s a stallion too, she's a tall girl, I love that. We would be so cute next to each other." The two were seen hugging on the VMAs stage after Meg presented Taylor with the award for Video of the Year.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis added giant friendship bracelets to its dinosaur statues outside the museum.

Jason and Travis Kelce discussed Taylor’s VMA nominations on their New Heights podcast this week with their MTV ad spot. Jason ended the segment by saying, “Unless you’re up against Tay, then I hope you lose.”
