This week, the Eras Tour completed performances in Munich, Germany, and began performances in Warsaw, Poland. The Munich concerts attracted viral attention because of how many people showed up to sit outside the stadium in the nearby Olympia Berg Hill and adjacent green areas. Local police estimated over 40,000 people were outside the stadium each night. There are only 7 stops left on the Eras Tour and only 3 left in Europe this summer.

‘…Ready For It? (Live from Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour)’ was used in a new promotion for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The song has gotten more Olympics attention as it was featured in the intro of Team U.S. gymnast Simone Biles’ Olympics floor routine.

Taylor made a statement on her Instagram Stories on the July 29th stabbing attack on a Taylor Swift-themed yoga and dance class in Southport, England. She wrote, “The horror of yesterday's attack is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock… The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, and first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to convey my sympathies to these families.”

Gelsenkirchen, Germany – which briefly renamed itself “Swiftkirchen” before its Eras Tour dates – auctioned off 20 original “Swiftkirchen” signs that were posted around the city, with the highest offer going for €3,000 ($3,245 USD). The proceeds will go to a center for girls, a food bank for children, and a shelter for women in the city.

Taylor gifted the U.S. Olympic Women’s Water Polo team Eras Tour tickets. Maggie Steffens, a member of the team, discussed it in a recent press conference, saying it inspired the whole team to make the most of their Olympics performance at La Défense Arena in France.

Variety published a major essay chronicling how the Eras Tour took over the world. The piece features fan interviews, photos of intricate tour costumes, and elusive stats on the tour sales, which “are fuzzy because Swift’s camp does not release grosses from her shows, unlike nearly every other artist at the stadium or arena level.”
